🌲🎣 5th Grade Survival Adventure at Crescent Lake! 🐢
Our 5th graders wrapped up their survival unit with an exciting field trip to Crescent Lake! After reading Island of the Blue Dolphins and Hatchet, students put their learning into action through hands-on experiences in the outdoors.
Students visited Pee Wee Falls, practiced survival skills with the Boy Scouts, learned about safe experiences in the woods from the Kalispel Tribe, and enjoyed fishing with Andy Anderson. After lunch, they explored the lake in search of turtles and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this memorable learning experience possible. We were lucky to have great weather and an amazing day of learning, exploration, and fun! 🌿☀️
