Selkirk School District annually conducts Childfind activities for all children ages 0-21. Screening for students ages birth to 21 is a free service. If you suspect that your child has a disability or you would like your 3-5 year-old screened for preschool, please contact Selkirk Elementary for an appointment. Screening for 3-5 year old students takes an hour to complete. It includes testing for hearing, vision, speech, language, general knowledge and motor skills. All school districts within Washington State conduct Child Find screenings. If your family is living in a temporary situation, you may contact the district where you are staying to attend a screening.

COVID-19 Precautions: Selkirk School District is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our community and staff members. Sessions must be made by appointment. Attendance will be limited to the child undergoing screening and their direct parents/caregivers only. Social distancing precautions will be observed, and temperature checks will be conducted prior to admittance.
